Can anyone share with me how you made your honeymoon registry so successful?

We are using HoneyLuna for our May wedding and honeymoon to St. Lucia. We are telling everyone this is all we want - a beautiful honeymoon and fun activities like zip lining to start our life together - rather than a toaster. We did purchase the 4x6 registry announcement postcards - our friend is throwing us a shower and has included the cards in the invites. And we're going to mail the post cards separately after the wedding invitations go out. So far everyone LOVES the idea!

We used HoneyLuna last year for our honeymoon in New Zealand. We did not register any place else but HoneyLuna. Our friends and family know how much we love adventure and activities so we created a fun announcement postcard of ourselves with our faces photoshopped into activities on our registry like parasailing, the shotover boats, and trekking on abel tasman. Our friends loved the cards and they LOVED the idea of buying us activities from our honeymoon. Some of them had to "fight" with each other over who bought us what - the fastest internet connections prevailed! We can't wait to use it for our 10 year wedding anniversary registry!
